Your experience begins with a complimentary pick-up from your hotel or guesthouse in Oudtshoorn where the tour officially begins.

Stop 1: Ostrich Farm Tour
Enjoy a warm welcome and guided tour of a working ostrich farm. Wear comfortable shoes as you’ll walk through the camps in true farm-style fashion. Bring your camera—you’ll want to capture the unique atmosphere and up-close encounters with these iconic Karoo birds.

Stop 2: Wine Tasting in Calitzdorp
Travel the scenic Route 62 toward Calitzdorp, the “Port Capital of South Africa,” surrounded by rugged hills and distinctive Karoo flora. Along the way, the landscape will remind you you're in the heart of the Klein Karoo.

We stop for a curated wine tasting at either De Krans or Boplaas, two award-winning wineries known for their exceptional wines, port-style wines, and craft gin. Both cellars have received national and international acclaim—your taste buds are in for a treat.

Stop 3: Red Stone Hills Scenic Drive
Enjoy a brief detour to admire the striking Red Stone Hills, a series of iron-rich rock formations that paint the landscape in deep earthy tones—a classic Karoo sight that photographers and nature lovers will adore.

Stop 4: Lunch at Karooboom Restaurant
Indulge in authentic Klein Karoo cuisine at Karooboom Restaurant, where a thoughtfully prepared lunch reflects the local flavors and culinary traditions of the region. This is more than just a meal—it’s part of the Karoo lifestyle.

Stop 5: Tasting at Grundheim Distillery
On your way back to Oudtshoorn, stop at the quirky and bold Grundheim Distillery, where adventurous palates are rewarded.
