Explore the 20 million year-old Cango Caves!

30 Km from Oudtshoorn are the world famous Cango Caves, a labyrinth of beautiful natural tunnels and chambers cut deep into the limestone rock and South Africa’s first and oldest tourist attraction. Johnny van Wassenaer, one of the Cango Cave’s first guides – and master explorer, is said to have walked 29 hours following an underground river in search of the end of the caves in 1898. He calculated that he was 25 km from the entrance point of the caves and over 275 m underground. To experience these wondrous caves for yourself, join us on our next Cango Caves Tour!
